DEICIDE Pull Out Of Holland's WALDROCK Festival
May 19, 2006Floridian death metallers DEICIDE have cancelled their appearance at the 2006 edition of the Waldrock festival, set to take place Saturday, July 1 in Burgum, the Netherlands.
As previously reported, DEICIDE have confirmed an all-ages CD release show commemorating 06/06/06 (June 6) and the release of their new album, "The Stench of Redemption". The concert will take place at the Iliff Park Saloon in Aurora, Colorado, near Denver. Plans also exist for DEICIDE to head over to Japan before the end of the year.
JUNGLE ROT, HURTLOCKER and DESOLATION have been confirmed as the support acts for DEICIDE on their fall 2006 U.S. tour, a representative for Taylor Touring told BLABBERMOUTH.NET. The trek, which will kick off September 20 and run through October 31, will include stops in the following cities, among others: Virginia Beach, Va.; Allentown, Pa.; Manchester, N.H.; and Cleveland, Oh.
The follow-up to 2004's "Scars of the Crucifix", "The Stench of Redemption" was recorded at Morrisound in Tampa, Florida and marks the first recording with the new DEICIDE lineup following the departure of the Hoffman brothers. Joining frontman Glen Benton and drummer Steve Asheim in the new formation are guitarists Jack Owen (ex-CANNIBAL CORPSE) and Ralph Santolla (ex-ICED EARTH, DEATH).
